Die Geschichte dahinter allerdings, erinnert mich an eine Begebenheit, die sich vor einiger Zeit in Salvador Brasilien ereignet hatte. In aller Regel weise ich dann schon mal dezent auf das Vorhandensein von Segelschulen hin \u2026 wobei meist ein kleines Video zu kolossalen Erkenntnis Spr\u00fcngen verhelfen kann. <\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/windpilot.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/10\/Maus.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"884\" height=\"659\" class=\"aligncenter size-full wp-image-15875\" srcset=\"https:\/\/windpilot.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/10\/Maus.jpg 884w, https:\/\/windpilot.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/10\/Maus-300x224.jpg 300w, https:\/\/windpilot.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/10\/Maus-768x573.jpg 768w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 884px) 100vw, 884px\" \/><\/p>\n<p>In Salvador jedenfalls, l\u00f6ste sich das grosse R\u00e4tsel, weil Manfred festgestellt hatte, dass bei der Yacht aus den Bergen \u2026 eine banale Maden Schraube nicht festgezogen war, weshalb der Katzenkopf \u2013 wie wir Insider den Windfahnenhalter nennen \u2013 sich stets verdrehte, anstatt das Signal von der Windfahne auf das Getriebe zu \u00fcbertragen. Darauf muss man erst mal kommen! Immerhin wird bei der Montage dies Bauteil als Erstes auf das entsprechende Rohr \u201egeschraubt\u201c. Der langen Rede kurzer Sinn: das Problem wurde also innerhalb der Cruising Community gel\u00f6st \u2026 was mich am Ende final erl\u00f6ste, weil ich bereits begonnen hatte, an meinem eigenen Verstand zu zweifeln, denn, nicht wahr: geht nicht gibt\u2019s nicht \u2013 so das Credo in Sachen windiger Piloten.<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/windpilot.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/10\/IMG_0512.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"768\" height=\"1024\" class=\"aligncenter size-full wp-image-15870\" srcset=\"https:\/\/windpilot.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/10\/IMG_0512.jpg 768w, https:\/\/windpilot.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/10\/IMG_0512-225x300.jpg 225w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 768px) 100vw, 768px\" \/><\/p>\n<p><strong>SV ANTHEA \u2013 KIM + MARK BAKER &#8211; ARCATA CA USA<\/strong><br \/>\nMark, seines Zeichens als Prof an der Humboldt University besch\u00e4ftigt, plante mit seiner Frau Kim eine Segelreise gen Westen. Die SWAN 41 sollte daf\u00fcr mit einem Windpilot ausger\u00fcstet werden. Ungef\u00e4hr 40 Mails sp\u00e4ter, wir hatten, wie in den USA recht normal, etliche Kreise ums Thema gezogen und waren uns einig geworden: Mark wollte sein wundersch\u00f6nes Schiff mit einer noch sch\u00f6neren Heckverzierung schm\u00fccken. UPS hat dann im Sommer 2015 die stabile Box in ARCATA im Staate California vor Marks Haust\u00fcr abgeliefert. Montage wurde per Mail begleitet, Denkfehler umschifft und ausgeb\u00fcgelt. Kim und Mark sind in 2016 nach Westen aufgebrochen. Eine ganz normaler Gesch\u00e4ftsabwicklung &#8230; die allerdings eine Verl\u00e4ngerung bekommen sollte. Throughout our journey we found that the wheel drum was slipping often, despite adjusting sails\/reefing to minimize weather helm. Currently we are anchored next to s\/v Maya, a Bavaria 410 ( Herbert says \u201chello\u201d to you ), and in the process of cleaning\/servicing our windpilot we visited him to ask about his experience with the wheel drum. We looked at his set up and he came to look at ours. We are unable to line up our outer rings the way they are supposed to line up. After spending time trying to adjust ours, he concluded that we have two outer ring left pieces (part no. 20), instead of one outer ring left and one outer ring right (part no. 50). This would explain why we have never been able to mount the collar screws (part no. 23), as the threads on our current outer ring are too large to engage the bolts. You will notice from the attached photographs that the Windpilot lettering is misplaced on the outer ring, and the cut outs for the line to attach to the drum do not align. Hier hat die Windpilot Pr\u00e4zisions Produktions Truppe ganz offenbar einen Purzelbaum geschlagen, wobei sowohl meine bezaubernde Frau Gattin als auch ich selbst um die Wette gelaufen sind, hier die Schuld zu \u00fcbernehmen.
