I have experience using a monitor for a couple of transatlantics and am familiar with the benefits and limitations of windvane steering systems.

This is a me leaving Ponta Delgarda in the Azores with your Pacific Light that has steered my boat Fettler (a Trintella 29) from Essex in the UK via Falmouth and A Coruna.\u00a0\u00a0<\/p>\n

We have had strong winds and light, heavy seas and near calms and the vane hasn’t put a foot wrong.\u00a0\u00a0We are on our way home again now.\u00a0\u00a0<\/p>\n
