We had a short sail and were delighted with the results. I still need to do some tweeking. The placing of the control lines are not ideal yet but will be soon improved. My transom is not so high so I had to turn the bracked all the way upwards. Still the boldt holding the rudder blade was only about 2 centimeters above the water. What do you suggest? Is this allright? Or is it possible to shorten the tube (420/421) going down to the rudder? I can also tilt the pilot back a bit to raise the bolt a bit out of the water but this will lead to the upper part of de pilot not being totally plum. Looking forward to your opinion.
Utrecht 1st of august 2025
All the best!
Marijn

good evening,
well done! I love the picture of the One Off tiller …. rudder position at this kind of scoop with lower end extremely close to the waterline ist just perfect, no improvement needed / possible
first set of blocks please move to stanchion at end of deck … better pulling angle = more pull at the end …
all the best from late night sofa
01.08.2025
Peter

WAARSCHIP 740 – FIRST SEA TRIAL Dear Peter, Yesterday I installed my new windpilot.
