SV Lindisfarne, Annika Koch+Björn Christensson SWE

Forgus 37 left Sweden in 2005 for a Worldtrip currently staying in New Zealand during winter 2010. They intending to head for Alaska in 2011. A Windpilot Pacific is being fitted now since 13 years.

Björn just send this message:
We have an old WindPilot Pacific that works just great.
Last week we made the trip from Fiji to NZ in nine days with the windpilot engaged for seven and a half.
We had to shut down the windgenerator because we hade no electric consumption…

Our question is now if you have a wormgear to this old pacific that we could order. It’s still working but the with material looks very brittle and we don’t want to loose our windvane on our next trip from NZ to Alaska.
Please read more and see their pictures.

It took quite some time to pass the Great Barrier Reef, North Queensland before switching over to to Indonesian and Malaysian waters, heading for Singapore.

Continuing to Thailand, Indean and the Maledives they found themselves in dangerous waters the Golf of Aden and the Red Sea later. After passing the Suez Canal they spent the entire summer 2010 in the Med.

SV Hasta Manaja, Otti Schmid CH

Scandi 41 and his owner got aqqainted some time 10 years ago, a Windpilot Pacific getting fitted at the transom and since this time Otti is travelling. Former airline captain he found sailing to be the perfect alternative, found very attractive friends – joining him quite a time – and proceeding further to other places after some time. He has written some lovely books full of humor – seemingly a very lucky person.
