  1. ROBERT CASE says:

Correction for the record: David B Clark, 99-01 did not sail non-stop solo circumnavigaion- he passed via Panama Canal. See thus update from his blog: David Clark (short update) 5th January 2000
1/4/00 TUES. — Arrived in Colon, Panama last night (Monday) and hoping to transit the canal on Thursday. Because of this terrific watermaker was able to take a fresh water shower and give “Mickey” a bath.
I also shared slips next to him in Mauritius, Richards Bay and Capetown.

  2. Jay says:

Nonstop via Panama Canal – is that “officially” possible? I don’t know of any sailor with nonstop record via Panama Canal, do you?

  3. Ray Martin says:

Joseph Havkins in the LamerhakII perished somewhere west of Truk while enroute to the Phillipines with two stops authorized along the way. As a navy pilot I spent much of the evening of Dec 15, 1960 at Truck listening to and observing his scrapbooks of his travel from the west coast of Spain in 1952. Later I searched for him on June 15-17 west of Truk to Palau. No trace of him was found.

If you have more accurate info please let me know. It would be exciting to be be proven wrong and communicated with Joseph.

  4. Ray Martin says:

looking for a record or location of Joseph Havkins of the LamerhakII after DEcember 1960

  5. Franz says:

Joshua Slocum hat Grossartiges geleistet, keine Frage, aber Nonstop ist er nicht um die Welt gesegelt. 🙂

  6. Concerning [1975-78 G Lagarrigue Mikenos], please correct to [1975-78 Georges Lagarrigue, FR, Mikeno] but my father did it WITH stops!
In a few years, I will follow a similar course, see please mikeno.fr
