Peter, I just wanted to send you a big thank you for all the advice you gave us a number of months ago before we bought a WindPilot from World Dancer.
We installed it in Panama and have now arrived in the Marquises.
The install proved to be pretty easy once we found the solution to avoiding all our internal bulkheads and the rungs on our ladder.

was activated so that the „slack“ in the cable transmission went unnoticed by the Crtew. The cause of the damage could therefore be that the rudder with pre-balance component was increasingly exposed to considerable vibrations because it was no longer limited by clear control signals, but instead deflected uncontrollably.

Ein endloses Thema und jeder Skipper hat seine eigenen Vorstellungen. Der Strombedarf scheint Hochkonjunktur zu haben. Man will ja möglichst den Versorgungsgrad wie zu Hause auf dem Wasser beibehalten. Ist das wirklich nötig?
Hi Peter, It’s been a long time since we were in touch. But since then we have logged 50000 miles between Greenland and Antarctica with everything in between. However we are now in New Zealand and will stay here until May 2025. Our Windpilot has generally worked very well for us. The only real issue has been the servo rudder attachment to the cast aluminum joint. I have been forced to make a number of various reinforcement to avoid breakage but now it’s alright, I believe.

Peter, The vane works great. I have been very happy. My outboard work-around has been successful so far. Sailed from Port Townsend, WA to La Paz, Mexico with it so far. Marquesas is next.

and it came with the Pacific plus. Since we bought it the connecting rod (< 98 part number 20
>98 part number 151, has been slightly bent) I could probably make one myself if required, but I am wondering if there’s spare parts available.
in 1999 and has been equipped with the Windpilot ever since. Is it possible to order a new sticker, so that looks all fresh and new?
Im Andenken an Wolfram, der leider vor 4 Jahren verstorben ist, dieses Foto der SV Atair aus besseren Tagen. Ganz erschrocken sehe ich ein Video, aufgenommen vom neuen Eigner, der das Schiff ungesehen ersteigert und nun in Cork / Irland mit der Realität konfrontiert wird, die eine ganz eindringliche Sprache spricht.

Moin Peter, bin gerade am Sichten meiner Reisephotos und stelle fest, dass ich von der tollen Unterstützung durch den Windpilot auf meiner Reise von Gibraltar nach Lanzarote gar keine Bilder geschickt//geteilt habe. Diese hier sind während einer nicht so stürmischen Phase entstanden. Auch bei Windstärke 8 mit stärkeeren Böen hat der Pilot mich wacker auf Kurs gehalten und mich wunderbar entlastet auf meiner Reise zu den Kanaren, wo ich mich auch derzeit (Jan. 24) noch aufhalte.
