After our most recent passages we just wanted to send a mail to you with a massive thank you for both all your support in getting our windpilot working and for creating such an amazing steering system.
After lots of ‚playing‘ with the pilot we have finally got to grips with how it works and have had 600 miles of the most ideal sailing
with it. When the pilot is deployed the motion of the boat feels much less frenetic than under autopilot, there is no power use and as it uses a different quadrant from our autopilots we have another level of redundancy.
I cannot express just how impressed we are with how it works and how Ruffian feels.

He may not be the inventer of wind-selfsteering units, but he is very probably the one who most successfully developed these systems to perfection.

Dear Peter, I apologize for the delay in giving you news of the Windpilot Pacific installation. This is due to the fact that my wife is seriously ill and I had not enough time either for the mounting or for sailing. Nevertheless, you could find enclosed some pictures and 2 shorts videos done during a small coastal trip.

Bernard Moitessier ist vermutlich der erste Name, der Seglern einfällt, wenn es darum geht, die Gedanken hinter den Horizont schweifen zu lassen, hatte dieser berühmte Franzose doch tatsächlich die Chuzpe besessen, den sicheren Sieg beim ersten GOLDEN GLOBE RACE vor nunmehr 56 Jahren fahren zu lassen, um sein ganz eigenes Glück in der Südsee zu leben. Moitessier ist „rechts“ abgebogen und stracks in die Südsee versegelt. Damit war der Weg frei für Robin Knox-Johnston, dem der 
Allerbest, dann weiss ich jetzt auch, warum der Platz in Grauhöft nun verwaist ist … der Skipper ist nach See zu abgehauen!

Hi Peter, Just wanted to let you you know that we had the auxiliary rudder rebuilt as per your suggestions. It’s working great! It got us from New Zealand to North Minerva Reef perfectly. We’re carrying on to Fiji today. Just wanted to let you know and say thanks for your help in figuring this out and thanks for making such a great windvane.
Dear Peter, We’ve finally arrived 10 days ago in the Marquesas after 34 days of light winds. Our Pacific unit worked flowlessly until the end. Only a few friction issues at the pulleys. 
Peter, I just wanted to send you a big thank you for all the advice you gave us a number of months ago before we bought a WindPilot from World Dancer.
